NMFIRE UL/FM Certified Diesel Engine Driven Fire Pump is designed to provide reliable emergency water supply for automatic sprinkler systems, standpipe systems, and industrial fire protection applications. Manufactured according to NFPA 20 requirements, this diesel fire pump package provides stable hydraulic performance under critical fire conditions where reliable backup power is required.
The system combines a high-performance fire pump, diesel engine driver, UL/FM listed controller, and accessories to deliver dependable operation for commercial buildings, industrial facilities, oil & gas projects, and infrastructure applications. With UL Listed and FM Approved certification, NMFIRE diesel engine driven fire pumps are suitable for projects requiring internationally recognized fire protection standards.
Per NFPA 20, each pump is factory performance tested to verify shut-off pressure (not exceeding 140% of rated pressure), rated flow and pressure, and 150% rated flow at no less than 65% of rated pressure. Diesel engine power is derated for site altitude and ambient temperature to ensure sufficient standby power at the specified duty point.

Yes. NMFIRE fire pump packages are designed according to NFPA 20 requirements and available with UL Listed and FM Approved certification options. Each pump is factory performance tested per NFPA 20 including shut-off pressure verification (max 140% of rated), rated flow testing, and 150% rated flow verification at no less than 65% of rated pressure.
Horizontal split case pumps are bidirectional, easier to maintain (the upper casing half can be removed without disturbing piping connections), and typically used for medium to high flow applications. End suction pumps are more compact, suitable for space-limited installations, and generally more cost-effective for lower flow ranges. Both types are available with UL Listed and FM Approved certification per NFPA 20. Selection depends on project flow requirements, available space, and budget considerations.
NMFIRE offers horizontal split case and end suction pump types for diesel engine driven configurations. Vertical turbine pumps are also available for wet pit applications. All pump types are available with UL Listed and FM Approved certification. Complete packages include fire pump, diesel engine, controller, jockey pump, relief valve, fuel tank, and standard accessories per NFPA 20.
Yes. Technical documents including General Arrangement (GA) drawings, pump performance curves, technical datasheets, engine datasheets with derating calculations, controller datasheets, factory test reports, and installation manuals are available for project submission. Our engineering team provides project-specific submittal packages.
Yes. Factory inspection and third-party witness testing can be arranged according to project requirements. Our dedicated fire pump test facility enables accurate flow measurement, pressure monitoring, and complete performance curve generation. Third-party inspection agencies are welcome to participate in factory testing per project requirements.
Yes. Per NFPA 20 requirements, diesel engine power must be derated for altitude and ambient temperature at the installation site. Typically, engine power is reduced by approximately 3% per 300 meters (1000 ft) above sea level, and 1% per 5.5°C (10°F) above 25°C (77°F). NMFIRE engineering team calculates derating factors based on actual project site conditions to ensure the engine has sufficient standby power at the specified flow and pressure duty point.
NMFIRE offers single diesel, single electric, 1 electric + 1 diesel, 2 electric, and 2 diesel configurations. Material options include standard fresh water, corrosion resistant (stainless steel 316L), and seawater service (duplex stainless steel). Controller options include UL/FM listed diesel fire pump controllers compatible with the selected engine model. Containerized fire pump houses are also available for projects requiring pre-assembled, plug-and-play installation.
