This is our smallest split case pump 4"x3”for 500gpm flow. Very few manufacturers in the marketing have 4x3”inches split case pump for 500gpm. The reason is:
In order to reduce the Qty of the pumps, many UL/FM fire pump's manufacturers use one pump to cover different flow. Like usd 5x3 inches pump for both 500gpm and 750gpm, 10x8 inches pump cover 2500 and 3000gpm pump . Of course this can reduce the cost of certification and R&D cost.

But the problem is: when you use a bigger size pump for smaller flow, the BHP will be too higher for this small flow project, the cost of the pump's package will be too higher.
