UL/FM Fire Fighting Diesel Engine Testing Center (hereinafter referred to as the Testing Center) of CNP NM FIRE FIGHTING SYSTEM CO., LTD was put into use in May 2019. Testing center was constructed in accordance with the requirements of UL/FM fire diesel engine certification and met the requirements of UL/FM Fire Diesel Engine certification. It is the UL witness test laboratory too. Testing center covers an area of 124㎡, including large and small two test bench, which can do testing at the same time. The small test bench can test engines up to 320kw and the large test bench can test engines up to 1000kw. The two test bench adopt the eddy current dynamometer, which uses the principle of electromagnetic induction, forms the torque and consumes the power, and is not affected by the influent pressure, with the characteristics of work stable, large braking torque, high test accuracy, small rotary inertia and fast dynamic response. The function of the eddy current dynamometer’s quick loading and quick dynamic response (0.1s), with the servo throttle actuator (0.1s), can easily meet the test requirements of cool start and heat start of UL&FM fire diesel engine. Testing center adopts the dynamometer controller with double closed-loop automatic control, adopts the communication technology of CAN bus and combines with the high-precision sensor to realize the accurate and reliable control of the engine, and can realize the uninterrupted switch under various control modes. The dynamometer controller is arranged in the control room. The tester can start, load, test and stop the engine remotely through the dynamometer controller. Combined with the software system, the required operation steps of the test are solidified through programming, which greatly reduces the manual operation of the tester and improves the stability and reliability of the test. Testing center is configured with the industrial air conditioning, can control the two test bench’s temperature at the same time, keeping the testing room temperature at 4 ℃ (deviation 2 ℃ or less), ensure the 12 times start test requirements of UL&FM fire diesel engines. Meantime, testers can check the operation status of industrial air conditioners and the temperature changes in the test bench through mobile phones and the Internet of things. Testing center installed two cameras in two test bench respectively to monitor the running status of the diesel engine and other auxiliary equipment during the test, and synchronously displayed on the display screen in the control room to know the test process in time. Testing center adheres to the quality policy of "fair, scientific, accurate and honest", strictly follows the UL&FM testing requirements to carry out certification testing and qualified factory test for fire diesel engines.
